Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions explain the basis on which the TorqueLab website, appointment-request facility and information about our automotive services are provided.

Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under applicable Irish consumer law.

About TorqueLab

TorqueLab is an independent automotive diagnostics, servicing and repair business based in Batterstown, Co. Meath.

Workshop visits are by prior arrangement.

You can contact us at:

Appointment requests

Submitting an appointment request through this website does not automatically create a confirmed booking.

The date and time entered are your preferred arrangements.

TorqueLab will review your request and contact you to confirm availability and any necessary details before the appointment is treated as confirmed.

Please provide accurate contact and vehicle information so that we can respond to your request properly.

Vehicle information

Where requested, customers should provide accurate vehicle information including the registration and, where available or required, the VIN/chassis number.

This information helps us identify the vehicle, determine relevant specifications and provide more accurate advice or quotations.

If information supplied to us is incorrect or incomplete, a quotation, parts selection or expected timescale may need to change.

Fixed-price servicing

Published fixed-price servicing packages apply to routine servicing within the scope and assumptions stated on the Services page.

Current published fixed-price service packages include VAT.

Certain vehicles or service requirements may require a vehicle-specific quotation, including where there are requirements such as:

  • unusually large oil capacity;
  • specialist or long-life oil;
  • additional filters;
  • manufacturer-specific service items;
  • timing belt or timing chain work;
  • DSG/S tronic transmission servicing;
  • Haldex servicing;
  • spark plugs;
  • brake fluid;
  • coolant service; or
  • other work outside the published routine-service package.

Where a vehicle falls outside a published fixed-price package, TorqueLab will explain the applicable price or quotation before proceeding.

Parts

Published service packages are based on suitable OE-quality parts as described on the Services page.

Where available and appropriate, genuine manufacturer parts may be supplied at the customer’s request.

For relevant Volkswagen Group vehicles, where genuine VAG Group parts are requested instead of the parts included in a fixed-price package, the additional difference in parts cost may be added to the package price.

Any material price difference should be communicated before the relevant work proceeds.

Labour and diagnostics

The current standard labour rate published by TorqueLab is:

€75 + VAT per hour

Specialist diagnostic work is charged at:

€100 + VAT per hour, with a minimum initial diagnostic period of two hours.

The minimum initial specialist diagnostic charge is therefore:

€200 + VAT.

Specialist diagnosis can require structured testing rather than simply reading a fault code.

If further diagnostic time is required after the initial period, TorqueLab will provide an update and seek approval before proceeding with additional chargeable diagnostic work.

Quotations and additional work

We aim to provide clear information about expected costs before work is carried out.

A quotation or agreed scope is based on the information reasonably available at the time.

Vehicles can sometimes reveal additional faults, worn components or other requirements after inspection or work has begun.

Where additional chargeable work is identified outside the agreed scope, TorqueLab will contact the customer and seek approval before carrying it out.

Prices

We try to keep prices published on the website accurate and current.

Parts, oils and other automotive supply costs can change, sometimes at short notice.

Published website prices may therefore be updated from time to time.

Changing a website price does not retrospectively alter work already agreed with a customer at an agreed price, subject to any additional work subsequently authorised by that customer.

If a published package does not apply to a particular vehicle or specification, TorqueLab will advise the customer before proceeding.

Collection service

Vehicle collection may be available by prior arrangement in:

  • Meath;
  • North Dublin; and
  • West Dublin.

Collection is not automatically included with every service or appointment and is subject to availability and prior agreement.

Any specific collection arrangements should be confirmed directly with TorqueLab.

Workshop visits

TorqueLab is based in Batterstown, Co. Meath.

The exact workshop location is not published for general walk-in access.

Workshop attendance is by prior arrangement and directions can be provided as part of a confirmed appointment.

Cancellations or changes

If you need to cancel or change an agreed appointment, please contact TorqueLab as soon as reasonably possible by phone, WhatsApp or email.

No general cancellation charge is currently stated on this website.

If TorqueLab introduces a specific cancellation, deposit or booking policy in the future, it should be clearly communicated before it forms part of an agreement with a customer.

Website information

We aim to keep information on this website accurate and useful.

Automotive specifications, service requirements, parts availability and pricing can vary between vehicles, models and manufacturers.

General website information should therefore not be treated as a vehicle-specific diagnosis or quotation unless TorqueLab has expressly confirmed it for your vehicle.

Photography and examples

Images used on the website may include illustrative or stock photography unless specifically identified as a TorqueLab customer vehicle or completed TorqueLab project.

Illustrative imagery is not intended to represent work completed on a particular customer’s vehicle.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Consumers purchasing services from TorqueLab retain the protections provided by applicable Irish consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022 where relevant.

Privacy

Information supplied through the website, contact form or appointment-request process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

TorqueLab may update these Terms & Conditions where services, pricing, business practices or legal requirements change.

The current version will be published on this page with its updated date.
